Almost 5 lakhs rupees are spend for implementation of solar technology in Chiplun Nagar parishad. Maharastra Engergy Development Agency has certified Chiplun Nagar parishad as Solar City. Chiplun Nagar parishad is Kokan first and State second city to be named as ‘Solar City’.
According to Nagar parishad Chief Officer Mr. Ganesh Shety, implementing Solar Energy technology will result in cost saving of almost 4 lakhs Indian rupees which are spend on electric bills.
