HSC Result 2013 : Kokan Division Stood Topped

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared the class 12 results on Thursday morning.  Out of 12 lakh candidates 76.6% passed the exam. Among 10.9 lakh fresh candidates 79.95% have managed to clear the exam while repeaters who were nearly 1.08 lakh, only 29.47% have managed to pass it in second attempt. Overall 11.93 lakh candidates who appeared in the exam March this year, 76.6% have passed.
Kokan division which includes Sindhudurg (87.65 %) and Ratnagiri (81.11 %) has topped among nine divisions with 85.88%.  Konkan was followed by Aurangabad with 85.26 per cent, Kolhapur 84.14 per cent, Latur 83.5 per cent, Amravati 82.19 per cent and Pune 81.91 per cent. Pass percentage of Mumbai division, which includes Thane and Raigad as well, is 79.95%.
The breakup of Ratnagiri district HSC result is as follows :
1.    Chiplun - 81.55 %
2.    Dapoli - 73.61 %
3.    Guhagar- 84.11 %
4.    Khed - 78.34 %
5.    Lanja - 79.81 %
6.    Mandangad - 84.49 %
7.    Rajapur - 81.85%
8.    Ratnagiri - 83.37 %
9.    Sangmeshwar - 83.63 %
